Amsterdam

We went over to Amsterdam for Holly's show at Guns and Butter organised by Agent Pekka. Highlights Second Life Music - amazing for vinyl hunters and Foam - especially Bertien van Manen's show which document's a decade (2001 - 2010) of travels through Kazakhstan, Russia and Eastern Europe with a small 35 mm camera whilst upstairs the New York Times Magazine displayed classic but also behind the scenes negative's, edits, emails and roughs - great to see Ryan Mcginley's Olympic Swimmers series - a lesson in good art direction by the magazine and trust between commissioner and artist. I got quite into photographing other forms of transport whilst in the city notably the boats from overhead - still can't believe people travel by Segway.
